TGIF Tennis:
T.G.I.F. evening
tennis get-togethers organised by Anne Currie. See the Calendar for
dates.
Tennis begins around about 5:00 P.M. and later on we’ll fire up the BBQ
to enjoy some burgers and a tipple (or two).
The big change
from last year’s successful program is that we’ve done away with the $5
charge!!!
Junior Development Classes:
Pizza and popsicles
will be the special treat for the first of our Junior Development
classes on Monday 7th June.
Classes are
scheduled every Monday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. finishing with
the Senior/Junior Tournament on
Family Day Monday 2nd
August.
Club Exchanges:
The annual club
exchange for a full day of social tennis with the South Cowichan Lawn
Tennis Club is scheduled
for Friday 18th June, kind and generous hosts who always go
out of their way to remind us that “It’s Better on Grass”.
The sign-up
sheet for this popular well subscribed exchange will be posted at 1:00
P.M. on Saturday 5th June.
Please
remember that for the first 30 minutes of the sign-up period members
are only allowed to sign up for themselves
and their one playing partner
(typically your spouse or significant other).

Television Rules
Members
should make themselves aware of the Interim Rules for the use
of the club house television equipment that are on the coffee
table.
Old Tennis Racquets
For
our Centenary Celebration in 2011 we are looking at an entry in the
Oak Bay Tea Party Parade in which we will toss tennis
balls into the audience and also hand out tennis racquets. Please don’t
throw away or donate to Goodwill any old racquet(s) that you no longer
use and please watch out for and bring in any that you may acquire at
garage sales or the like.
